My Future Plans

All my previous post about past jobs, education and few facts about me have shaped the person I am today. From travelling to third world countries to studying for my A levels and interning at a law firm in the summers. All have lead me to become a student at SOAS University. Whilst my present is at SOAS, the future is full of new careers aspects and life changing opportunities. My plan for the future is to hopefully go down a humanitarian work career helping people from all different backgrounds and hopefully working for the United Nations peace and humanitarian division. I plan to gather experience with charities in the UK and abroad. As well gather experience from other careers such as law.

Education

Over the last few years, i have gained many educational qualifications such as GCSEs and A levels. I went to Bullers Wood School for both my GCSEs and A levels.

At GCSEs I achieved :

English: C,C
Maths: C
Physics: B,B
Chemistry: B,B
Biology: B,B
Health and social care: Merit
Religious Studies: A*, A

I then continued on a Buller wood to complete my A levels. Where I studied philosophy and religious studies, politics and sociology. All three of my levels help shape the student I am today . They taught me how to write essay constructively, time management and meeting deadlines.

What My Past Jobs Have Taught Me

My previous jobs have taught me skills which equips me to fit into any given environment.

When I interned in a solicitors firm doing Admin/ office work one of my key roles was reception work such as interacting with clients and booking appointments via telephone. I was also involved in organising the filing cabinets and post.
In order to complete these responsibilities I needed to be able to talk to clients and look approachable. My role meant I had to think on the spot in terms of appointments and handling clients.
From working at Forward and Yussuf, I obtained a variety of skills such as being able to multi-task and when put into different roles I was able to adapt quickly to the new tasks.

Once I left interning , I went on to work in a restaurant waitressing where I took on various responsibilities such as welcoming customers into the cafe and showing them to their tables. Taking orders and offering my services throughout their meal this included cleaning up the table once they were finished. Then for a short while I worked on the till and encourage customers to buy some other products which were on offer at the till.
